Dr. Ananth P.N

Designation: Senior Scientist and Head

A Ph.D (Agri) in Agricultural Extension Dr.Ananth is anExtensionist and Researcher working with a team of experts on adaptive trials and demonstrations of innovations/technologies in agriculture and allied sectors.

Prior joining as Head, KVK-Lakshadweep, Dr.Ananth served as Head of KVK-Khordha, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar. He also served as Assistant Professor in Agricultural Extension, Ambo University, Ethiopia. As Senior Evaluation Consultant Dr.Ananth worked for the World Bank Project on Safety Nets, Ethiopia, Oxfam GB, Self Help Africa, Child Fund-Ethiopia and with national and international government agencies and NGOs.

Dr.Ananth had his advanced training from World Fish Centre, Malaysia, Wageningen University, The Netherlands with NUFFIC fellowship and in Centre for Natural Resource Studies, Bangladesh in topics of rural social studies.

To his credit Dr.Ananth as two Young Scientist Awards, two best paper presentation awards, three team awards and one Best KVK award at Zonal and National Level instituted by NAAS, New Delhi and Dhanuka.

He has 43 research publications, 12 book chapters and other knowledge materials. He has operated projects funded by DFID-UK, Cornell University, USA, National Fisheries Development Board, Orissa Community Tank Project and others.

His Interests are on planning extension programs/projects and documentation.
