During this reporting period KVK-Lakshadweep worked on implementing the mandatory activities viz., On Farm Trail (OFT), Front Line Demonstrations (FLD) and trainings. Apart from the mandatory activities, the KVK implemented extension activities, special demonstrations, supportingincubation and entrepreneurship in value addition and processing. Development initiatives, administering baseline surveys and worked in convergence with Coconut Development Board and other agencies under the UT administration of Lakshadweep were also undertaken. The works initiated by ICAR-CMFRI host institute of the KVK were implemented especially on seaweed culture and establishment of a marine ornamental fish hatchery in Kavaratti islands. In a fully-fledged way, the NICRA project of KVK Lakshadweep in Kadmat islands funded and monitored by ICAR ATARI was implemented during this period.
