An Automatic Weather Station (AWS) under the District Agriculture Meteorological Unit (DAMU) was established at Kavaratti. This establishment is fully funded by Indian Meteorological Department and monitored by ATARI, Bangalore. The unit will provide agro advisory services to the farmers. The extended plan is towards developing agro advisory services through bulletins and publicizing through different strategies.
