Under the TSP programme of National Bureau for Plant Genetic Resources, Trichur campus, 60 farmers from Kavaratti and Agatti were selected for promoting vegetable cultivation. In this activity, KVK worked on selection of beneficiaries and distributed vegetable seeds and organic inputs. One of the key input distributed were tyre pots. About 500 pots were distributed to the beneficiaries and the institutions targeted were Department of Ports and Airport at Agatti. The aim of the distribution was to promote tyre pots.
